Wanted 696 796 1100

As you may have seen from my other posts on the forum in the past. I have been looking for ways of increasing the ride height a bit on my 695. Anyway, I understand that the ride height of the 696, 796 and 1100 are a bit higher - so .............. who's got one they wish to part with?

Ok .... according to tech data on the web:

Monster 695 seat height = 770mm
Monster 696 seat height = 770mm

So.... don't see much of an excuse here to change, and to be honest I like the look of the original Monster better.

Seem to have saved myself a few quid here, for now anyway:mand:

So, time goes on and I have now test ridden a 696, with Termis. I loved it. I'm still unsure of the seat height thing, but the bike felt just right.

I have been offered a few different ones, decided that I like the black frame best, not committed to buy yet, but hopefully will be doing so next week.

If anyone is considering selling, I have the cash.

I have a red 696+ june 2008 with about 6k miles on it.

Has stainless termis, DP tail Tidy, new bridgestone 023s and has had the big second year service, its a great bike that i have had lots of fun on :-)

Once you ride one its amazing how they give you a buzz. Just dont ride an 796 or 1100 then. Good luck with looking.

Seat height on the 796 en 1100 is 80 cm but that was too high for me - bought the lowered seat for my 1100. I'm 5'7" and like my feet firmly planted on the ground.

Have been offered a good deal on a 796 ex demo (well, 3 different ones actually). Just trying to keep me wallet in me back pocket until after Crimble!
