I hope this qualifies under the "etc"?

First can anyone recommend a good BRUSHING silver engine paint please?

Secondly my key doesn't seem to go in the the seat lock.Is there a knack to this or some other release mechanism?

Many thanks.

If you haven't use the lock for a long time it might need a bit of WD40 just to clean the dirt and make it work nice and smooth

The key only goes half way into the seat mechanism and then turn like normal.

I'm sure some will be able to help with the paint.

Right as i thought i worked the key half in with WD40 and it was nearly there but then it bent!Any ideas what i can do now please? Is there another way of getting the lock or seat off?I need to get at the battery and tool kit.

Any ideas on the paint as well please?

Flood the lock THEN get behind it as much as possible and squit.
The lock turns and pulls a short cable that releases the seat, it'll be the release mechanism that's a bit gummy.
Try just short partial turns increasing a little bit each time rather than just turn and wrench.

As panther said the key is only supposed to go half way in

Mine goes half way in, but then there's a small lever under & behind the lock which you can push/pull with your fingers, saves risking the key. Not sure if it's only on the M900 or others too, worth a look though

might be worth a try putting weight on the seat (or lifting the seat) as you turn the key
