I thought I'd make a quick post on what I found with the air box mods.
Standard Lid and Filter:
Runs OK but misfires below 3k a bit.
Open Air box with DP filter:
Sounds great but misfires a lot especially around 4k
Standard lid with DP filter:
Perfect! Runs really smooth and no fueling issues below 3k either :D
Just so you know my bike is a 620ie with 'Open' cans. ECU wasn't touched

The same is true with my 900ie. (as I posted when you first ask about open air boxes) Still now we know its not just my bike being a pain in the a###.:D
Glad your now sorted and did not have the weeks of messing around I did.

Yeah if this didn't work I would have gone back to stock and because you said it I tried it so thanks for that! It's a shame I'm selling now though :(

So have you saved enough pennies for a 749 or a triumph?
I've already cut my airbox lid a while back and fitted a powercomander. But if you had a normal lid going cheap I might have a play with it.

I'm using my normal lid but have an open spare.
I'm aiming a little lower for now but still not decided if I should take the risk and buy another Ducati or play safe and get something lower maintenance for a while
