Have a later type bikini fairing (the type that lips over the headlamp) for my M600 Dark, year 2000

I am trying to work out how it fixes onto the bike, anyone have any really close up pictures of where it sits & what brackets / fixing locations are required

thanks for your help

Fixes to side of headlamp brackets in to places, and the front of top yoke using a pair of small 'L' shaped brackets

There is a pair of tapped holes each side in the yoke for bolts

The fairng fixes in 4 places (two each side).
You will need two of these

They screw into the indicator (and actually hold it on) the slot in the rubber bush engages with the slot in the fairing, fully tightened there is a slight 'nip' to the joint clamping the fairing to the bush.
The top of the faing bolts to a bracket fixed to the top of the 'U' bracket (you may need one of these) Thus the fairing is resiliently mounted.

That fixing looks different to me. Mine (2001) didn't mount to u-bracket at top - just used the two 'L' brackets onto yoke

The factory must have revised it - is that a later monster Capo?

GT,

I seem to have the same as you on my 2000 / 2001 crossover model, looks like 2 x L brackets fixed back to tapped hole in top yoke..

Thanks for the info

Cheers

I'm wondering if the one shown on Capo's photo is for the S4/S4R series

If so the top yoke might be different needing a revised mounting for screen

Late style fairing as pictured on capos bike will not fit directly onto the earlier brackets, easiest way is to change the alloy U shaped headlight bracket and associated clips.

This one is listed for an S4RS but they are all the same. You won't need the thin wire looking part.

Compare it to the early version it's quite different
