Used bike prices

I have just been perusing biketrader as I am a bit bored at work, and looking at the S2R 800 Monsters on there, are these sought after bikes? With a £4000 starting price on there, I am a bit surprised!

They seem to have gone up slightly since the last time I checked, the 1000's are even more!

I saw a nice one go on ebay recently for £3100 IIRC. I think it had a full Arrow system too.
I reckon around the 3k mark is about right for a 2005 model in good nick.

seen a few 05 and 06 bikes go on ebay of late for 31-3300 with exhausts and some extras

Neil iv often thought exactly the same thing.

I then looked at what else is available and in a similar category, hornets z750's fazers er-6 etc etc and these flood auto trader.

The S2R 8/1 on the other hand are sometimes hit and miss. Occasions where there is a handful available, more so the 8, then times when there is literally nothing.

So i do think there is a premium on S2R prices to accommodate the shortfall in availability. Dealers especially will want to make their money, as it may be a while before they get another.

Not really thinking of selling, I just like to see what else is about, mostly look at prices of F4 750's, 748's and Tornado 900's................. But I couldnt afford the insurance, servicing or plastics when I chuck it down the road!
