Makes em spin up quicker but has no effect on bhp or torque figures. Some like em some don't, I do so have one on the Monster and a home made one on the 900SSie.

i know where to get units tha way about 300 grams (for carbed model not certain IE).
However if you are thinking about your 600 it already has a flywheel that ways about 700 grams. I know is flywheel from 600ss/600 carbed monster is a popelar mod for 900ss/900 monster.

Have a read here and make your own mind up.

On a side note for the 4 miles before my lightweight flywheel died my engine was stunning. Now I am back to stock heavy one but am looking for attempt 2 with 600ss one. Just need a welder in area.

Spot on - we use them on both the race bikes - the Monster 800 & 1098 & this is for weight saving.
