Weather permitting, we will be holding a little ride out to Box Hill on the 17th October
We will meet at the Shell Station at Winnall at 10.00 am (A34/M3 junction) and then proceed to box for about 12.00, for a light lunch.
Invite open to all areas, and would love to see some others there.

(hopefully the Kenties could organise a run up to meet us?)

Cheers

I won't be able to make this one as I'm heading to Benson's in NE London to have my bike cleaned properly and then coated with ACF50 in the hope it won't rot over winter.

Not sure about Andy (he's not booked in for ACF50ing).

Not sure about Andy (he's not booked in for ACF50ing).

Not much point in putting ACF50 all over a bike that already has over 30k miles' worth of salt corrosion on it... my bike might be in good shape mechanically, but it's never going to win any show & shine prizes!

I'll be up for a ride out if it's not pouring with rain, though - would someone be kind enough to let me know the address of where we're meeting up please?

Good to meet up with you all again yesterday for an excellent run through to Box Hill, though a few of us (who'd never been there before) managed a minor detour through Dorking town centre on the way there.. A cool start to the day didn't spoil the fun of a nice road and excellent weather, though why do I always get penned in behind the unnecessarily slow cars on the really 'interesting' bits of road.
Only disappointment for me was Stu pointing out that one of my front fork seals had sprung a leak during the ride back to Andover. I managed to get home without getting oil onto the brakes, but I guess it means I'll be off the road until that is fixed - and I fit a new rear tyre which is now worn below leagl limits.. :(
Looking forward to seeing you all again sometime soon..

Just a quick one -
Thanks guys for letting me join in yesterday! Had a great ride in excellent weather for this time of year (a bit cold at first, but then got quite comfy thanks to the sun...). Got home fine despite the dazzling low sun and then collapsed on the sofa with a nice drink (after cleaning the bike of course). What some of you won't know is that on Saturday night I drove most of the same route (out to Horsham & back) to get to a dance with my other half!
Anyway, it was good to see you all and glad I was able to keep up, despite having to keep checking I did't over-rev the motor during the run-in period. See you guys before too long, hopefully.

BTW, hope you're better soon, Char!

Took a few photos, if anyone's interested:

Cheers!

Nice pics - getting better by the day, who knows I may be able to go to the pub soon :D

Thanks to all for a good run out to Boxhill. They are some great roads, that just egg you on to ride faster and take chances! It was a damn good effort on UKMOC's behalf and see the Kenties represented, Hari and Kati and even Grumpy from the bitter far North, was a superb effort. Just proves what a phenomenal club UKMOC is..... thanks to all regional team leaders who make it happen.
