I am putting new pads in the front of the S2R 800. The 'shop' said the reference book recommends using pads that are 'TT' (as std), these are an enduro pad, the other pads are 'HH'...What do you guys use?
TIA..

I think I've used HH in the past? EBC greenstuff/redstuff pads.

No idea what TT are though

Thanks mate. I had EBC green before in the SS and I was told they were crap...Are red supposed to be better?
I have never heard of the TT either!!

TT are for Large or Heavy enduros somtimes called Paris to dakar pads

GG are Resin bonded mostly and HH are melted together to bond them

GG bit less harshly but fade quicker under heavy breaking, HH are the reverse bite harder and fade less under heavy breaking

Hope that helps ?

Personal choice but Carbon Lorraine SBK or Bendix for me. Avoiding EBC myself as I find them just crap and grabby.

+1 for Carbone Lorraine SBK I replaced the OEM pads with these on my 696. They really stop the bike (much better than OEM) if you haul on them but also seem to respond in what "feels" like a linear relationship to lever pressure.

Only my second set of pads and I'm not the most experienced rider but I like them. I found them difficult to find but got mine from Bike HPS.
