Need a new bike cover.. Or 2
Fed up with rubbishy ones.
Want something I can wash sometimes but is protective
I have some rubberised ones but I'm not impressed.

Alot trap moisture it seems .. Just wondered if a decentish one is about for when I need to cover one of the bikes thinking ahead now.

We have a garage now, but before that we used the Oxford Stormex covers.

They're a bit pricey, but check ebay - there's a few cheap ones on at the mo.

I need a new one as well. Had the cheapest Hein Gericke one for a couple of years, but it's now seriosuly brittle from the sun, and has ripped on my pillion pegs.

Also, rain and sap have started to soak through, so not really very protective (but better than being fully exposed I suppose)

R&G Superbike one - it won the Ride test, doesn't melt on hot exhaust, has some well-placed velcroed holes for putting locks through, fits Monsters just fine. Only damage in a year of use is where the bike fell over onto it. It's faded a bit in the sun but otherwise spot on.

A couple of ones I have seem to have kept some of my bikes wet... don't want that again.
Plus being able to give it a wash (on cool) once in a while is a must.

The only downside i've had with my cover(s), is that they get grease on them from the chain, so i've converted a plastic guard from a chain saw that i just push onto the chain from the rear sprocket end.
It covers a third of the chain, top and bottom, enough for it to stop the cover flapping on the chain and getting greased up again.

Didn't realise how much of a luxury a decent garage is.......... (especially with winter rapidly approaching)

I only use the cover when the bike is outside my house (which is mostly!), once the really bad winter weather starts, the bike goes up to my mates workshop, which has a most excellent woodburner by the way.

I may consider hiring out space in my garage if anyone local wants to store their beast over winter....... resonable rates natch

Oooeeer..... :worried:

I doubt it (and nothing as flash as powered doors either!!) but I could easily get a couple of bikes in there if someone was stuck for storage over the winter............
