MOB Saturday night food

Not long to go now. Please see list below of the food choices for Saturday night, i need to let Sven know the numbers by the 12th. If you have any special requests because of alergies etc please let me know by pm so we can try and arrange alternative. We go to a nice friendly restaurant walking distance from the hotel.

The choices are

Flemish stew (i can recommend)
Vol-au-vent ( i am sure someone will explain)
Salmon (fish) :biggrin:

Hi mate I think its chicken but will find out. Mostly it comes on its own ie stew and you get salad,veg and frittes or chippy chips.

The vol-au-vent is a chicken dish, in a creamy sauce... with some puff pastry.
The Salmon will be with mash and either veggies or bernaise sauce (we'll see who orders it and take a vote to see what we're having. The practicality is: when there're 40-50 people eating in one sitting the kitchen has to stick to a couple of choices to avoid chaos)

You might like some of the fruit beers Chris. I tried the Kreik (cherry) last year, and I think it tasted more like cider than regular beer. The downside is the relatively limp alcohol content for that brand, although there are stronger fruit beers available.

Just down a few pints of Kwack and join Scrapps breakfast croissant club ;)

Alan, sorry just catching up with this after hols, sent you a rambling PM but now seen this thread, so can you add me as well which I think will make 32? I'll take the stew.

I am staying 'elsewhere' as i live in Brussels - tho' if any space anywhere local i may stay the night as (a) i can then drink and (b) the dreaded Brussels greenday is again on the same day as the MOB Sunday this year - so no traffic allowed in or out of brussels. Hence staying over means no cop dodging or early rising needed to make the Sunday rally...)
