Hi chaps,

I have to cook on a Belgian theme for Spa F1 this Sunday.

Already have my drinks sorted, unless there are any particular Belgian cocktails ...

I was going to try making a Flemish Stew, but need a vegetarian option (thankfully they eat fish and cheese)

Thank you

Don't think the Belgians have ever been renowned for the culinary expertise, just about there most famous dish is Moules & frites can't get much simpler than that I can recommend Konijn in geuze which is a great rabbit dish, or Paling in 't groen great if your guests like fish, just don't tell them the fish is Eel.

For a starter how about Tomate-crevette, grey shrimps in mayonaise stuffed into a hollowed-out raw tomato its really good.

Belgian waffles if you're really stuck. The mussels and frites as above is a really good option, also serve frites with a bit of fresh mayonaisse, loads of good belgian mussels recipes online.

You can also look at the Belgos website, they have some good Flemish food.

I  the Flemish Stew but open to suggestions. We usually order off the menu in the resturant on Sunday evening. I had a nice prawn curry last year, but then most food tastes good accompanied by Belgium beer :woot:

Scrapps said can you cancel his order for croissant at breakfast :D

I wondered if that would come up.
There's a kitchen I could use isn't there ....
