See it has a neat little parcel shelf for your gear. On par with Gt's.
If you need a tow just ask.
Now for that underground garage shot.

How do you find the more forward position. They do feel more nippy and nimble dont they.
Have fun.
Thanks
Termis? When I find a spare 900 hundred quid or so lying around... i.e. not for a while!
Tail tidy, rearsets, cans....here we go again, ho hum!

Yeh got used to it very quickly, got back home, and moving the 620 to park next to it felt really different! Definitely loving the position, it feels quite high up as well, even though I've got a lowered seat on, but I feel really tucked into the bike which is great. Spooning with a monster!
PS. we need Monster 796 added to the user cp bike category!

May I recommend the evotech tail tidy £79.00 on ebay. Its the cheapest around but not cheap in quality. Dont waste your money on the dp one as its hard to fit and it doesn't actually do anything other than remove weight and clutter. Rearsets prepare yourself for a lot of dosh which is why I havent got any. At least £350 to £800 for rizomas.
Leo vince are reasonable
PS dont buy carbon until belgium as they have a trade stand.

Very nice - I assume the 620 is sold?
Thinking of getting some bar tassles for the trike now
Yep 620 sold just not been picked up yet.
Whats bar tassles?
New posture going to take a bit of getting used to, 80miles later and my arse is rather sore I have to say!

I cant see them taking over but hey being accepted is something. Dont tell them how much fun they are to ride :chuckle:
It is incredibly good fun, the handling is superb.
Vicious little thing though, just when I was feeling good it nearly threw me off like one of those bucking horses. Perhaps I was a little over zealous on the throttle with those slick new tyres still running in :eyepopping:

It is a lovely bike - how are you getting on with the height?
Fine thanks! I've got the lower seat on at the moment and my feet are pretty much grounded - I could have sworn they didnt go flat on the ground when I tested it in the shop first time. Second time I went back I seemed to have grown - was very strange.
Anyway, not complaining! I'd like to get the original leather seat back on though, dont really like the material of the lower one, its almost over-grippy...

How does it compare to your 620?
Its a lot faster, and handles much better, but you know, love'm both the same!
More confident on the 620, this will take some getting used to, but I guess thats normal.
I'll be sad to see the other one go :(

Nope, no extra side panels... or I've been ripped off if there should be ;)
Done about 200miles now, want to get first service in before Belgium. Hows long it take for tyres to be fairly well run in? Must be ok by now?! Keep ****ting myself in first gear though, its a bit evil!

Bex, Call the dealers to pre-book a service if you can
Sods law dictates that if you wait until the 600miles is up they'll be fully booked

Very cool looking there Bex, all in black. As Gary says, the tyres will be okay now. The wax comes off fairly quickly in the normal working zone, just be a little steady if you take over more into an area you haven't used of the tyre as yet. A little further each time as you get more confident and you will be fine.
So where is your luggage going for the trip, In the rucksack perhaps?
Backpack, tailpack I guess... don't need much except a breakdown recovery number ;)
Yeh I was warned to call up 2 weeks in advance to book the first service. No doubt it'll cost some silly amount of money as do all things Ducati related.

Bex,
Congrats on the new bike, it looks lovely.
I took my 796 for it's 1st service the other week; Moto Rapido in Winchester told me to phone up on a day suitable for me and they'd just slot it in as it's only a quick job.
They did just that. :)

Nice bike Bex, well done.
It took me several months to get used to the Triumph, last week i realised that i'm throwing it about much more confidently, the rear tyre is wearing out a lot quicker now.
Your tyres should be well worn in with 200 miles on them i would think.

The 1st service is usually just an oil change and a general check over. Nothing much to it, I don't think. Should be done within an hour or so. When your booked in, get their 1st thing, so you have it done 1st. That way you shouldn't be waiting too long for others to be completed..

You lucky thing, I saw one of these on Saturday in Sth London, same colour as well, looked really cool, Hopefully I'm for an upgrade to a 696 in April, can't wait.
What do you think of the noise, is it ok as standard or to quiet ?
Its fairly quiet unless you're accelerating, and even then its still pretty quiet.
I'm not too bothered at the minute to be honest, I was pretty noisy on the last one and I'm quite enjoying not being obnoxiously loud wherever I go (shock horror).
No doubt I'll answer differently when I actually have the money for termis however...
Still at least on the last one people knew I was there, I already had several people cut me up and I cant help thinking noisy cans certainly help reduce that a bit.

I followed this after seeing your 620 for sale, (I'm always in the For Sale section - innit sad?) Wondered if we'd lost another poor soul to the "thinking of giving up biking" void.
Top choice - well done!
I have to say that bike is lovely - the black 796 with red frame is definitely my favourite Ducati at the moment.
Can I have a go ?
I can finish scrubbing the tyres in for you..... no charge.

Disguises the original cans shape a lot better IMO

The LeoVince GPs are nice, bet they'd look hot in black - maybe I should try something different like that this time. Since termi's are a long way off!

Isn't it great that we live in a world with such diverse tastes. I've never liked that bit of upswept exhaust going over the engine casings.... reminds me too much of an SS50!

Hey BB,
Don't diss the SS50 ;o))))
I spent my 16th year on this planet terrosing the people of Oxfordshire ona 5 year old SS50, did about 10000 miles in a year and it was great for that time in my life.
I bought it for 75 quid, stripped it painted it and thrashed it everywhere. I've since spent a lot more money on bikes that have given a lot less pleasure.
