I went a couple of years ago and it was brilliant. There were loads of Monsters at the event.

The full power taxi run by the Lancaster bomber, just feet away, is an event in itself and the Spitfire flying display was one of the best flying displays I have ever witnessed. I've been to a few as my dad was in the Fleet Air Arm and I used to work for Airbus.

Its a brilliant day out in a very nice location and highly recommended

After a very wet start to the day we couldn't believe the fabulous weather for this afternoons Battle of Britain event. It couldn't have been better and we even managed to miss the odd shower on the ride back home.

It wasn't the biggest Buell meet we've ever held but at least we had one example of each type, with our Ulysses, Pete's S1WL and Kev's 1125CR flying the flag.

We didn't have any Ducati riders join us but the Yamaha FS1E club managed a good turnout.

The Spitfire and Me109 put on a fantastic display and the pyrotechnics were loud and spectacular.

All in all a very good day and a fitting end to East Kirkby's flying display season.

Our small, but impressive display of Buell motorcycles....
