Giving the old girl a good going over today (behave!!) and looks like the previous owner has done a bodge job on repairing the underside of the seat - there are a couple of staples at the front which have rubbed a couple of nasty scars in the paintwork on the tank. To make it worse he's tried to cover the staples with ductape which had disolved into a horrible sticky mess.

I've cleaned it all off and slipped some bubblewrap between the seat and the tank (no you can't see it) which is working fine now as a temp measure.

Should I get the seat recovered (though the foam looks like it's seen better days), get an after market replacement (though I want to keep the bike stock) or......

do any of you guys have a seat for an m900 knocking about??

Cheers

Gordon I think those staples are std. not a bodge. I think you'll find them on all the seats of that era. I put duct tape on the tank to protect it rather than on the the staples.

Aye - but the staples around the front look like a home repair. I've taken out the offenders and made a "tank friendly" repair. :mand:

Is you plan to swap make sure you get the right year & model

The seats don't interchange between early and later monsters.
