Has been mentioned before among the WDW attendees to have a little reunion with lunch.
Obviously this invite is extended to all UKMOC members (and everyone else that would like to come along! the more the merrier)
The date is set for Sunday 29th August, the idea is to have a lunch and a ride across Essex back roads (no silly jokes here;))afterwards.
The menu hasn't been defined but should run along this lines:
Starter including bruschetta, garlic bread, cured meat, caprese salad, calamari end few bits and pieces.
Main course of roast beef with all the trimmings, veg and spuds (is sunday after all....)
Dessert should be a choice of tiramisu' (few members on here can tell how good it is) cheesecake, fruit salad and ice creams.
Coffee(proper espresso, that is..)
Wine and limoncello(not at WDW levels as we got to be riding afterwards, but plenty anyway)
Price should be under the 20 quid mark.
Anyone with particular requirement/allergies I'll be pleased to arrange alternatives menus/dishes.
Just to have an idea of who will be there copy and paste a list!

I may well stay down that night to take advantage of Limenchello and other Essex delights if anyone fancies it?

Meeting/lunch at Southend on sea. Some members are staying overnight so something will be organized for the evening too. Would be great if you can make it.

Skank,

If lunch doesn't finish until late you may be pushed to make your session. Could you not move the tatt appointment to another day?

Where are you getting inked - is it a long trek from Southend?

Many thanks.

I've had a PM from Stuart asking to meet for ride into Southend

Does anyone else want to hook up and ride to resturant as a group, and do we have a plan B if it pisses with rain? I was cosidering using car if it's really crappy TBH. Also is the invitation open to others not associated with WDW2010?

Of course is open to everyone, forum members and what not! The more the merrier:thumbsup:, I only need a rough number confirmation by Saturday as the guys need to sort out a sitting plan as we're quite busy that day.

web link (http://www.azzurrosouthend.com/index.asp?textpage=home) (don't use the "location" on the web site as the link with the postcode is wrong, bloody admins:twak:)
Thinking about 12/12.30 if is OK with everyone
Ride afterwards is much depending on the weather front, but something in the region of a couple of hours (not too long as I'll be on the Motard as neither Ducati is serviceable at the moment:worried:)
I take you'll be on the Multistrudel:cool:

Damn. Just discovered that I've double booked myself with hosting the festivities for the Spa F1.

I probably won't be able to leave the house until at least an hour after the race finishes.

Stuart's meeting me here to ride into Sarfend - weather permitting

If wet it'll be 4 wheels

Looks like it's just under an hours ride from Dartford, so guess we'll need to leave here about 11am

Wondering whether there will be room for 1 more. If EICMA plans are to be discussed, I'd quite like to find out more. Would need to leave Farnborough in about half an hour if I was to come (being slow, and having lots of M25 to flog round).

I too wish to thank you Max for the great meal out that we both had. Really was nice and well full up. Glad we took the car as quite bloated and the weather turned. Im glad it seemed to brighten up on way back so hopefully you guys on bikes got back dry. Great turnout and really nice place to eat with some great company.

Thanks also from Caroline too:biggrin:

Hi all

back home safe. Luckily rain stayed away but got blown all over the motorway, which was nice.

Many thanks to Max and Azzuro's for the meal and great to see so many of you.

See most of you in Belgium.

Cheers

Grazie mille to Max and the Azzurro team for a really nice lunch (and for fitting me in at the last minute, especially when I was the one awkward person who didn't want roast beef).

My magic waterproofs almost worked - pretty much as soon as I moved away from the parking space outside the restaurant the rain stopped! I couldn't tell if it was very windy on the way back, or just the terrible aerodynamics of my baggy waterproofs, as I was being buffetted about all over the show. From Stuart's report, sounds like it was the weather and not just me.
