Hi Monster-istas.

Newbies here, about to buy a new shape 796 or 1100.

The new Monsters looks are growing on me, but those footrests and hangers are awful.

Apart from £400 Rizoma rearsets, are there any more cost effective :p alternatives out there. Having pillion footrests is not required.

Apologies if this gets asked - and answered - often. I did try a search first, but no luck.

There are quite a few aftermarket ones you can get and don't have to be Rizoma

Someone will be along and tell you about a few.
I have seen some nice ones about that have not been Rizoma.

I dare not even look at that catalog ..

Would be like going to the best chocolatier in the world and being told .. sorry darling you can have a penny chew..

Powder coat the hangers black so they don't look so obvious

I was thinking of doing that but that will cost me £40 so Im putting that towards some billet ones. I did have a thought of getting some made like the trellis style in alloy or light tube but I reckon not cost effective. If only I had a decent welder and a milling machine .

Hi,

I think the Rizoma rearsets are nearer £530 for rider only, I have the Metaltech (http://www.metaltechracing.com/) ones which are about £360 and I like them, I had to order from Metaltech in Italy but they are now stocked by Spare Shack which might make things easier.
There are quite a few others like Ducabike (http://www.ducabike.com/), Sato Racing (http://www.satoracing.com/) and Motowheels (http://www.motowheels.com/) to name a few
