Can it be done without repainting? Ie - using thinners, etc?

Anyone got any ideas?

I know the base paint colour is the same for both. The gloss, satin or matt is down to the lacquer used. Not sure if you can matt lacquer over gloss lacquer - but can't see why not though - at worst you could rub the lacquer down to give a key and then spray with the new matt lacquer.

I went for Satin on the Z as Matt is starting to get common and Satin gives a nice depth without the reflection of gloss and is not such a pain to clean like the Matt :mand:

Edit: Just noticed that I must update my signature as it still shows the Z in silver from last year.

I've seen a few bikes and cars covered in stretch matt black film recently.

It's a wrap slob ;)

Very hard to do on round/curvey things like tanks - relatively easy on the flatter stuff - check out my post on the subject >>>
