I know there are a few after market belt covers and a few people ride without, I was thinking of modding like so...............

I like without, but was worried about front wheel kicking up debris onto the leading edge of belt, so cut down existing covers, lot cheaper than speedymoto!! Some pics:

I'm working on having some clear ones made up but it's still a long way off yet

no need to make them up, get a used pair of ebay, should cost naff all. Then go to work on them yourself. Simons look so good I didn't even realise he'd done it when I saw the bike in the flesh, think I'll copy!

I can actually get my hands on a vacuum forming machine to make some clear ones up. I think some one did some clear ones before, they were not my cup of tea and looked a bit hazy,

Thats a really nice job simon, looks goods, it's encouraged me to cut mine back, but I don't think I will do it so much as you have. The problem is my engine is not as clean as yours and I dont like cleaning :( lol

Nice daz, I will take them for £75!

The clear ones I've seen in the past were tinted, you'd look at them twice before realising they were transparent.

I have a set of the clear smoked belt covers on my S2R and they are quite subtle as Slob says, I did put a small spot of paint on the roller and the side of the belts a while back, which is noticable when they are turning.

I've also seen a few home made attempts at see through belt covers, some of which are very good. The best ones (in my opinion) used the stock covers and dremeled out a window which was then 'glazed' in polycarbonate sheet giving a similar look to the expensive Rizoma covers.
