Hoping to get off to Findon to meet the Kenties for breakfast, then heading off to Brighton afterwards.
Meeting the Kenties at 10.30 at

John Henry's
The Forge
Nepcote Lane
Findon
Worthing
West Sussex

Tel 01903 877 277
http://www.john-henrys.com/

I would suggest meeting at Ower at 9.00am, then a ride down together, have brekkie with the Kenties, down to Brighton, Ice Cream, then back home via the A272.
Anyone wants to meet enroute, Chichester McDonalds at about 10 ish.

Might be up for it (although we're still hoping to get away for the weekend camping at some time over the next few weeks), If we do come, we'd meet in Chichester. (There are 2 good roads down to Chichester from us).

There are 2 McDonalds in Chichester - which one do you mean? http://www.mcdonalds.co.uk/restaurants/restaurant-locator.shtml

Ok ok ok. I surrender. Which way will you be riding from Ower - I assuming straight down the M27 to Chichester? Reason I ask was wondering if you wanted to come via mine to pick me up around 9.20ish - nothing like a bunch of Monsters to wake up the neighbours on a Sunday, LOL!!

Alison, We will be doing the M27 to Chichester. Does Martin know where you live and how far out the way is it? Sounds a plan though..........

glad your coming along Gutsy, think it will be quicker to meet you at Ower services, the Wilts gang are heading down the A36 from salisbury, so it would be cutting it close for time if we headed up to yours and then back down again, trying to get to Chichester for 10.00........ :mand:
(and i think your neighbours will be woken up just by your bike alone)

its the mcdonalds on the main A27 roundabout, where you turn right towards arundel, its on Portfield Way, and a sainsburys or something very close by, hope that helps!

Looking at the map, I think we'll meet you guys at Findon rather than Chichester in the morning.

There are more interesting roads than the A27 between us and Findon if we head south east rather than south followed by east.

The thing is which chopper rally? The choppers that the nude blokes had out or others........
I've never seen so much flesh in the street before in my life, what a day to choose!

A great day had by all and I just got back before the rain came down. Thanks to all that made it such a memorable day.

First I want to thank all those who came on average 90 miles each way and some you can add another 50 to some. A meeting of 4 countys on a lovely summers day. My day started of nearly being killed and my caroline too when a woman driver decided to pull into the side of me on the A2. Not enough for her when I swerved and got off the gas she then proceeded to go across another lane in sheer panic no doubt and try to embed another car into the barriers. Lucky to be alive I calmly got to grips with reality of being alive and decided not to chase and give her some verbal.
We all had a nice ride down some lanes on to Findon only attacking the motorway for 2 junctions. A nice breakfast was recieved and I hope you pleased with my choice of venue.

Ride home was a wee boring and slow at times but I did still enjoy it.
Alas I picked up a puncture fairly near to home as I failed to be able to steer round the corners. I got home just but tyre is very soft. Not on the rim but will not turn on tarmac easily.

Some pictures on here. Caroline took the pics and some contain nudity and some are not that nice . Be warned LOL

That looks a great day out ..
Monsters, Brighton Pier and icecream ... those are a few of my fav things:) My old stomping ground :)

What the devil is going on with punctures at the moment I have never heard of so many in the last 3 weeks!!..I am glad you got home safe.

I went on brewery tour .. nuff said ... sore head and curtains shut for two days ... apparently trying to get me to walk a mile and half home was entertainment in itself .. oh the shame :(

A great day out! Great breakfast and ride to Brighton! Caroline, how did you manage to get so many close-ups?!!! Our ride home was also a bit slow apart from when Rally and
S4RsMack went on without me and had a good 'race' back to Devizes! I took my time and did my usual 70/80 mph! I think they might have been doing a little bit faster than that!!

A good ride down through Sussex to Findon - West Sussex council appears to still have a road maintenance budget - fewer potholes than over the border in Surrey!

I was going to comment on the superior sausages at Albie's chosen venue, but having seen the pictures from Brighton I think sausage related remarks probably won't go down too well!;)

No probs Dean although I did feel a bit lonely on the way back from Lugershall to Devizes! You and Rally need to organise your own ride/race and then, when you go out with the slower members of the group (me), you don't need to 'race' and can wait for me!

It was a fantastic day out owever, and me and the 'little' Monster kept up as well as we could!! ;)
