I've got my self some CRG lane splitter, and there is not enough room to mount them onto the bars, if it (very) wrong of my to mount them on top of crash protectors. Or do I need the bar inserts if so I will take them off the other bar end mirrors I bought.

I bought this mirrors quickly of ebay, thinking they were black! The CF design is not my cup of tea, these are brand new and never been fitted. (these will be cheap, I will add price soon as I forgotten how much I paid)

I'd take them off or not bother, lets be honest if you order from e-moto who knows if you'll even get the insert, although to thier credit they did send mine in 2 days but I did phone, email, carrier pigeon, threaten etc etc etc. My s2r didn't have room and I stuckem on the barends, never had a problem. Custom exhaust and rear sets go on next week! I'll stick a youtube vid like u did

Cheers James, I will leave them on the bar ends, I would only use the inserts from the old mirrors anyway.

On friday made a new bracket fit the old headlight so I can (hopefully) get the MOT out the way, but did not finish until 5.30, so I took the bike for a quick bast on a 'private road'.

I was surprised how load it is, I will have to see how it sounds with ear plugs :) otherwise, I might have to get some small baffles made.

I did feel like riding due to the bloody rain yesterday.

My local MOT guy is very friendly, but I don't think he will pass my indicator problem, http://ukmonster.co.uk/monster/showthread.php?t=37736

yea I tried running off straight pipes and it sounded terrible, the boom tubes that I'm having are a straight pipe but there going to put a bend in it as it passes under the side stand and then loops back under the bike behind the right hand rear sets, that way they can get enough length to make a baffle. I am intrigued to see how loud its going to get - did you have to get your bike on the dyno after your exhaust was fitted??

I've only had a very short ride on the bike since the exhausts have been made, so I will still have to find out how goes.

I will still take it for at least one dyno run as that's pretty cheap and I can find out if they needs to be re set-up.

What do you need to fit these CRG's then? my bike doesn't have bar ends so will I need them first?

If you have space on your clipons you don't need anything.

Bar ends are a good idea as they are cheap and it's better for them to get damaged than your bars or mirror, if you dropped you bike

below is a link to the mirror mount.

As Panther says, if there is space at the end of your clip ons then you can lose the 'bar end insert' and just clamp them straight onto the bike. The metal expandable shaft that you see in the pics is only if there is no room on the bars so you have to slide that insert into the hollow clip on and attach that way. They are sooooo much better than normal mirrors, u can actually see whats behind you, also if you've dropped hlight/clocks then bar ends add to the flow of the bike
