For those of us who are not going to WDW i thought we would arrange a rideout to Brighton. Albie has told me there is a nice pub at Findon that does a great breakfast, we will check it out and may meet up with others for breakfast and then ride into Brighton.

Post up if you are interested and we will arrange meeting points etc nearer the time.

Thanks

The Pub is called John Henry's and here is the address and map.

John Henry's
The Forge
Nepcote Lane
Findon
Worthing
West Sussex

Tel 01903 877 277

http://wikimapia.org/#lat=50.867214&lon=-0.406001&z=19&l=0&m=h

Its slightly the other side of brighton but not far at all. If anyone knows of a better breakfast then tell us before. Its hard to beat for food.

Just a thought is we can cross country most of it but on way home we could go via lewes and up past sheffield park and via ashdown forest , edenbridge etc back through sevenoaks and oxted and farningham.

It does. I mean what sort of clown turns up to a Monster do on an SS?

It's a bit rash selling a bike, think long and hard before you do.

UK Surfer - Will try and come too if you let me know route / time

Albie
26-05-2010, 06:41 PM
Its at least an hours ride from me and thats at legal motorway speeds so it needs to be fairly early. I dont want to get brekkie much after 11.00 as I will be starved.

I reckon meet at 9.15 somewhere central to the route. I can piece something together unless you have an idea already Alan.

If you want to hack down motorway you can leave later.
Best thing is maybe I meet some guys at pickup point (1) which I say the roundabout nr Nells cafe which goes to the rail service place at 9.00. Then we meet at pickup point (2)Farningham at the junction near the Pied Bull. We can then go down through Oxted and River along the A25. Through Westerham and then head down towards East Grinstead turning right back along to Crawley. Maybe pick up the m23 for 2 junctions then turn off for Horsham and A24 down to Findon.

What do you think ??

Andy just go past the services and pull off at the nells turn off but Dont go over to nells. Just turn a bit left and safely park somewhere.

AlanC can we meet you at the Vauxhall garage WJ Kings and Not at the pied bull turn off so Stevoo knows where to go. 9.15

First I want to thank all those who came on average 90 miles each way and some you can add another 50 to some. A meeting of 4 countys on a lovely summers day. My day started of nearly being killed and my caroline too when a woman driver decided to pull into the side of me on the A2. Not enough for her when I swerved and got off the gas she then proceeded to go across another lane in sheer panic no doubt and try to embed another car into the barriers. Lucky to be alive I calmly got to grips with reality of being alive and decided not to chase and give her some verbal.
We all had a nice ride down some lanes on to Findon only attacking the motorway for 2 junctions. A nice breakfast was recieved and I hope you pleased with my choice of venue.

Ride home was a wee boring and slow at times but I did still enjoy it.
Alas I picked up a puncture fairly near to home as I failed to be able to steer round the corners. I got home just but tyre is very soft. Not on the rim but will not turn on tarmac easily.

Some pictures on here. Caroline took the pics and some contain nudity and some are not that nice . Be warned LOL
