The line to take is approx 1" of tube sticking out. That will cut part way through the seat catch plate about 1/2". You need to keep that or else move the whole thing somewhere else. I do know someone who completely removed it and put it in the airbox I believe but had to get a longer cable.

You will need to flip the cable over to sit under the seat.

I used my seat and brake light as my guide to how much frame to cut, going beyond that just means extra work, even if you cut beyond the seat catch you've still go to put the seat back so your extra tail chop wont even be seen!

coolo.. what is thebest thing to use to cover the newly exposed frame that would have been covered by the tea tray?

thats where i cut my 600, and all you need is 22mm chair leg bottoms from B&Q to cover the ends
i re-routed the cable down the inside of the frame, it ended up behind the side covers

i made a bracket for the number plate, i also made small brackets for the indicators to sit beside and level with the rear light.

Just measure and cut a piece of metal and either bend it yourself or take in to a fabricators.

One thing i would say that i learnt is that on my 600, the number plate sat underneath the chopped frame, on my S4 chop i made sure the number plate was higher and hid the chopped bit of frame.

on the 600 i used the original one, i put some leds in it instead of the bulb, my S4 has got a led rear light with no. plate light built in, easier that way

i have a clear rear light with a red bulb.... does it have to be a white number plate light or can it be red? (on cars it has to be white)

I bought an LED rear light which has four white LED's underneath which lights up the plate.....but on mine it lights up the tea tray :chuckle:
