I am planning to take my motorbike to Milan, driving from London.
Has anyone any good suggestion on the best route?
I want to take it easy and enjoy the journey!

That's a great route, or you could drop further south in France and to Grenoble and then across the mountains to Turin/Milan.
I've been round that lake Lausanne and it can get vey busy and isn't as nice as you think

When are you planning on going? There will be a bunch of people heading to Misano for WDW in June.

Is that your planned route to Misano Rob?

that was the rough basis for the outbound route (tick 'no highways' and 'get directions'),
then adjusted for a stop near Riems and will likely be adjusted for other stops.
the route back is likely to be calcuated similarly with adjustment for J.Ps Grenoble(ish) suggestion etc.

I am off next week, probably Saturday the 29th..
I am going to WDW too, but I have to travel a week earlier because I take advantage of the holiday in Italy the 2nd (and for some workplace the 3rd and 4th too).
Also I get tired of driving for more than 2 hours so I need a little bit more time.... I am just a girl!
Thank you for your help! I am going to check the route on the map...
I know very well Grenoble and the south of France.. used to live there
If you have any other suggestion please help!

The Lake Leman(Geneva lake) is better on the French side (you will get into Switzerland with a nice twisty road, passing through Thonon-Evian and crossing at Saint Gingolphe. If you get the chance head for a quick ride back up to Montreux, stopping at the Chateau de Chillon. As far as crossing into italy goes, from that side you can either go through the Monte Bianco (passing through the Valais, worth a good look) or you could go over the Sempione, not as high in altitude, therefore less tiring. If you do this I suggest you go down to Domodossola/Crevola and get off the motorway at Gravellona, heading toward the Lago Maggiore/Stresa/Arona, or you'll be stuck on the Autostrada up to Milan.
Good luck and divertiti, see you in Misano.

Well, whatever way you get there, I'm sure the UKMOC will find you somewhere.

As J.P says, there's a group of us going down for WDW, your should be able to spot us, we'll be wearing UKMOC teeshirts!
See you there.:mand:

can I get a UKMOC Tshirt too? Are they for sale?
In this way you could spot me too!

I think you've missed the cut off date for WDW tee shirts, and I don't think we have any spare UKMOC screenprint logo ones left. Rob's hoping to do another run of these later in the season.
