removal of oil cooler, replacing lines etc

I plan to replace the lines, paint the oil cooler and engine casings of my S4

I presume this is as simple as draining the oil, a little bit of unbolting, make sure nothing gets into the casing, painting, rebolting, filling up with oil??

anything more I should expect before I start?

i think they recommend taking the plugs out and spinning the engine over to prime the oil pump again and build up pressure...
