Jim,

as requested a thread for travel across to Belgium.

If someone has already booked ferry/train then let us know which and times so others can join in. (personally I prefer ferry as it is more relaxing and we can have a natter and a breakfast on the way over)

Cheers
Stuart

I shall be leading the Train contingent, if anyone wants to join me. No booking yet.

Keeping plans open at the moment, me and the other half will be spending a couple of extra days in France either on the way there, or more probably on the way back.

Our preference is train, less time travelling more time sitting in the hotel drinking beer.

I've suggested the Hants chapter will travel down Friday, possible travel lodge then boat over Saturday.

Only thing is if the Belgiums are meeting the train maybe better if we all do the same, am easy.

Cheers
Stuart

Hants/'honorary Wiltshire' chapter if you don't mind!

Well, I'm sure some could meet the train and some could meet the ferry? Personally would prefer the ferry as I've been on the train once and found it a bit claustrophobic! :eyepopping:

I'll tavel by ferry, preferably Dover/Dunkirk, as to booking, whilst I will be travelling out on the sat and coming back on the monday, I won't be booking until I return from WDW.
It might be an idea if we start a list of who is travelling on ferry or eurotunnel so we can plan the trip.

The Train Posse can always spend an hour extra ripping up Pas De Calais waiting for the Ferry to arrive...

Wooohooo! The worst roads in all of France, just to make the Brits feel at home.
I'm sure we can find a decent coffee and a pastry somewhere not too far off.

I am happy to take the ferry if you really want Liz.
Not fussed either way but can get a cuppa on the boat. Not sure which would be easiest for you to push your bike off if it does not start ?

Someone will push my bike onto the ferry (or even off it into the channel if necessary - that's something you can't do from the train!). I'm not proud! :hissy:

Forgot Stuart had a dedicated travel thread - so copied this across

Just booked my crossing with Norfolk line

Outward: Dover to Dunkirk 10.00 sailing - Sat 18th Sept
Inbound: Dunkirk to Dover 16:00 sailing - Mon 20th Sept

£39 for return fare - cheapest crossing I could find for trike

They also give option to take a crossing either side of your booking at no extra charge
