Had my first go at the GP circuit yesterday with Hottrax.
It's a brilliant track, having done the Indy circuit 3 times before it's nice to see where Surtees really leads.
Saw Rally (from the other channel, not our one) and Steve and Sarah Jordan
The 620 was the smallest, least powerfull bike there and it's safe to say every other bike I saw on track was passing me but had an excellent day. The weather held out too.

John didn't have such a good day, stopping to do some gardening at Sheene in the first session, he then felt tired and had a little lie down.

Luckily the damage is mostly cosmetic and I think his pride is more bruised than his shoulder.

Good going Slob.
Shame about John, maybe he should take a picnic blanket on future outings if he's going to spend so much time on the grass...

I will be building a (road legal) 1000 trackbike for next year. It would have been last winter but I've been rebuilding the roadgoing 1000 following my European adventure in September, so am sticking with the 620 trackbike this summer.
I had one session with an instructor who said I turn in a bit early for most corners, which is usual for road riders but carry decent corner speed. I have reasonable body position but basically need a more powerful bike now.

that sounds great Slob. I enjoyed our track adventures in Spain (even if my experience was cut short with food poisoning!). I really should get back out on track again soon. I really miss it. I'm just reluctant to take the road bike out and I can't see me getting a track bike any time soon!

Didn't you just sell the perfect solution?
Good to hear from you again though!
