Thread size?

Hi Guys, does anyone know what pitch the thread is on a '94 900 (external oilways), there is an oilway blanking allen screw near the spark plug on the vertical cylinder? which is a very coarse thread - M6 I think - I asked my local dealer but ducati don't even list the part!!?? - it's not even on the microfische - HELP!

Is this an extra? if so and its close to 6mm as you say sounds like 1/4 unc. Is it a straight or tapered plug?

No, not an extra, found out today the thread size is M6x1 parallel, it looked coarse because it was damaged at the (visible) end, re-tapped & jobs a goodun.
