So, I've been battling with my carbs for a few weeks now.
Just got back from run after rebuilding them for the 2nd time...
Bike had one hell of a coughing fit and a big power surge when it first reached 60mph, then it all came together.
No clunky pull away, no sluggish throttle, smooth response and power delivery through all the gears and no stalling at low revs when coming to a stop.
Fantastic!
Float heights were barmy when I took a look at them. Setting them was a right bugger, but seems to have done the trick. Thanks to DucatiSuite for direction and height levels.
Will take for another run tomorrow to double check, hopefully won’t have another coughing fit, but it looks like it's fixed.
Need to fine tune mix and sync the carbs still, but even as it’s running now it’s roadworthy.

Thanks to everyone who responded to my (sometimes daft) questions, and especially to those bods smarter than me who suggested I take a look at the float levels. It was the right advice.
