900 monster rear shock

does anyone know the standard spring rate for a 96 900 monster rear shock spring?
a mate needs a stiffer rear spring so he needs std rates before he can work out what sort of lb/inch hes looking for

9.5 Kg/mm or 542 lbs/inch
