Aha, but if you click on the spanish pronunciation link from this in Wikipedia (where it's copied from) is says that tʃ is "ch" as in choose, and u is "oo" as in food.

Therefore, it's pronounced Choopa Choops.

So there.

Is Albie going to buy us all one of each flavour???? :)
Im sure by the time we each have worked through the list the answer will become clear!

I have a confession... I broke the display stand in Somerfields by accident last week ... I tried to quickly fix it but.. (whistles away to herself) so I legged it lol!!..
If you go into Somerfields in Ippo ..it has a broken top... (dunno who broke it mind you... kids today !! ;)

And if someone's head on here is thinking oh no its got to be like the chip incident.. luckily it wasn't about as bad ..but as usual I had other things on my mind and snapped the top off .. I twiddled it the wrong way lol.. :D

What is even more freaky is that you didn't tell everyone that until you (and Julie) pointed it out to me the other week, I'd always called them Chuppa CUPS...

doh!

And yes, it's ChUPa CUP and CALipo... x

Clearly 3/4 of us are plain wrong when discussing Spanish products.
Nonnie, I have to thank you for educating me (for once without waiting for me to 'fall asleep' & then writing all over my face with a felt tip pen)

The only blackbush I can think off that can be mentioned on the site is a rather fine Irish whisky which is my faters favorite tipple!!:woot:

argghhhh Bushmills...

My family lived not far where it was distilled...
Anyone who nipped round to my grandmothers even when she came to live here, no matter what time of day she run and grab a bottle and be pouring you a good measure .. was customary..
Whoa betide if you said I am driving!! dear me.

So I had one Grandmother feeding me Chuppa Chups by the stand load and the other here have a wee dram of Bushmills... no wonder my brains gone to pot and I is a bit wacky... not much hope for me really!
But yup Blackbush is a fine dram.

The better half and me did the same when we visited Florence on a Monday many moons ago. Sadly we were en route to Vienna by train and couldn't stop over. I have never been forgiven, especially as we were on our way from Roma after a romantic week at the World Athletics Championships in 1987.:worried:
