Help please, crankcase protector

Hi all.
I have been looking for some crankcase protectors for a while after reading several incidents of chains snapping & causing bad damage to the crankcases.
I spotted these on e-bay & I e-mailed the seller to ask if they would fit an air cooled Monster as they are advertised for fitting to 748/749/916/996/998/999/1098 AND ST2.
He e-mailed back saying he thought they only fit the advertised models.
Is there much difference in that area of the crankcase on these models compaired to the Monster? does anyone know if they will fit or where I can get some to fit a Monster?

These should fit yours, if you monsters front sprocket cover is the same style as a 916 one!

Ask if you could take the bike to Hungerford for a trial fit

How about looking at this a bit ass about face Desmo.... Do the front sprocket covers for 748/749/916/996/998/999/1098 AND ST2 fit monsters ???
If so then I'd be liking one of these too.
