Sven (MOB) and i have been in contact with the secretary of the Aston Martin Heritage trust, we are arranging a visit for the Saturday of the Weekender. They have offered to open the Trust on Saturday at about 11o/c and one of there Trustees has agreed to give a talk about the trust and the cars. They will also provide a buffet lunch inc drinks. The cost would be £15 a head.

its about a 70mile trip to the Museum so we would have to leave straight after breakfast on the Saturday.

If you are interested please post up so i can let them know numbers etc.

I know there will be other activity,s on the Saturday but not sure what, any ideas ?

Thanks

Alan

Hi Alan,

This sounds an interesting visit, but I have a problem!
I am new to the forum and can't find any details on the 'Weekender':( There seems to be info on past weekenders but not for 2010 - can you tell me when and where it si this year?
Thanks

Thanks Martin.

I am just after an idea of numbers so i can get back to trust and confirm booking. Glad people are interested :woot: Sven is doing the same on the MOB forum.

I am sure other activitys will be sorted and you may wish to change your mind ?

Cheers

Alan,

Is there any way this could be shifted to Saturday afternoon rather than 11am?

I would have preferred to do UKMOC's regular pub lunch run Saturday morning, and then head off somewhere else (like we did with Warick Castle in 2009) in the afternoon. The timetable for this event stuffs any chance of stopping off for lunch with the rest of the club.

If you are stuck with the 11am arrival at the museum then I'll give it a miss

The Trust are opening on the Saturday just for us ! they have asked us to arrive at 11o/c i was hoping to push that back to 11.30 to give us more time to get there. Its about a 70 mile ride so will have to leave straight after breakfast ? They are arranging one of there trustees to give us a talk about the museum and the cars and then laying on a buffet lunch for us.
Not sure what else is going to be planed for saturday ? but think this is going to be a full day with the ride there and back ?

Cheers
