Is that a new paint job & mudguard I spy - or just a photoshop tint?

JMo
17-02-2010, 09:12 PM
It is a photoshop tint of course, but it is also new paint - and mudguard, and bars, and levers, and stickers!

Nice colour Jen - very clean & retro

Think I prefered the blue or green you had before, but will reserve judgement until May

Don't worry, I've still got the green bodywork - should I feel the urge!

These are the original panels/tank - that were the original Ducati blue... I got them repainted to match my cream 'Old Times' jacket - like you do...

Local to you - but about 350 miles away from where I am unfortunately!

CG Coachworks in Horam (who did my green Monster bodywork too - they specialize in restoration bodywork on classic cars and stuff like that - first class! The logos are vinyl rather than painted, but that very nice thin vehicle graphic stuff... I got those done separately, but by the signwriter they use...

Hi Scott!

The swingarm is a Febur kit for the Monster (like a 916 arm, but designed to bolt straight-on without machining/welding - it also retains the original Monster wheelbase). The rear wheel is a 916 item, and everything is stripped and mirror polished, although it's getting a bit cloudy these days - I like to call it 'antique' x

There are a million other mods too (such as the exhaust, brakes, bars, instruments, indicators, rearsets, side-stand, and not least the TAIL CHOP!)...

Hope to see you all at the Monster weekend!

i think its still one of the nicest bikes on the forum, and it inspired my tail chop and mods to my old 600, with a little bit of help from Jen

I think it was £450 inc. vat (hark at me, I can't even remember an invoice like that!) for the whole lot including the belly pan and headlight cowl...

The graphics were extra...
