I'm going to Metropolis in London tomorrow to go have a look as a potential replacement for my touring bike. Worried about the height though, I'm 5' 10" and the seat says it's 85 cm off the ground. That's a bit high.

You'll have to mimic Tom Cruise and get thick wedges

Adjustable suspension will help the shorties. It isn't as tall as the old multi and the seat is narrower which will also help those who may be slightly vertically challenged reach the floor.

The lowered seat helped and just need to be careful stopping on cambered roads

New bike looks REALLY nice in the flesh.
Saw the one at Metropolis in Vauxhall on Saturday and it was fitted with the lowered seat which helps to drop it enough for me to stand securely on the balls of my feet. (better watch out for pot-holes). They had the White one there which looked very nice but very impratical.

Quality of gear looked very nice but it wasn't a working model and it's just touring the showrooms for the time being. First demo rides won't be till April probably and sounds like all the very early deliveries have already been sold by most of the dealers through to June or July.

Did you go to DG to look at it then Paul?
I quite like it but thought the aircooled DS engine may have suited it better both in looks and service costs.

At least you only have to have it serviced every 15,000 miles this time

I have a Red S Sport on order, for late May delivery. Looking forward to the test ride in March/April.

I'm at Highfield Park in Hamshire for an IT course and just discovered Ducati is here to for a couple of days to show dealers in the south about the 1200 Multi.

Just had a good look and it is soo nice, I need to start saving then it may be my second bike though only if I can afford it in addition to the Monster.

Get yourself over there and steal one please.

The one I was looking at was the white S model in the sport level of trim (no panniers more carbon). There is nothing to do here in the evening so I might well go thieving or at least joyriding.

I'm down for a Red one, but if you can get your hands on a black one, that'll be fine. :)
