I have been looking into booking a trackday at Lydden Hill (kent) they do both cars and bikes on a small but well set up track. The track is a bit like Brands in shape and has a uphill tight hairpin and double apex long section like Brands.
They run 1 bike day most months and at £99.00 peak season its not as expensive as Brands.
So if anyone would like to join me please let me know. P.S. if we can get 10 or more we will get a group/club discount.
I am looking at march and june.

I'm not going to a UK trackday earlier than April!
I've been round a cold Brands in April OK but Gadget and I were luck not to drown at Silverstone in March a few years ago. The roads were icy on the way there and the fog was so thick you couldn't see the length of the paddock.

See your point I did brands in October but was very lucky with the weather cold as .... But no rain or ice.
I may risk it as only down the road and most of April and may are no go for me due to other commitments.
I Don't want to wait till June for my 1st trackday. will prob still go in June aswell.

You can always play Terry!

I still remember Muttley's photo of you at paddock hill waiting for the tide to come in...
you still had a better day than Simon though.

Always a gamble the weather. I would opt for June for me personally even though its 4 months away. Up for it YES

I am up for it.
Like Slob, I will not want to risk a spoilt event due to inconsiderate spring weather.
It is also only an hour away.

Another track to cross off the list.

It's a great track for smaller bikes, if you're not a total muppet you can stick a 600/620 (or 250 stroker) underneath R1s and 'blades everywhere!

your no joking slob bigger bikes struggle round.
I'm not fast but I'm not slow either, on my M1000 I was being lapped by Stu Watkins on his
400 supermoto, very very embarrassing!!

slob
03-02-2010, 07:09 PM
I remember Stu beiong a bit freaked because he'd ridden a supermoto there before and when we got out on track it turned out they ride supermotos anti-clockwise and other bikes clockwise (and before some jackass pipes up ...not at the same time)

Last year at Lydden on was my best trackday yet, I'm up for April for sure.

Last weekend was in the first group out on the new circuit at Silverstone (minus the infield), the combination of torrential rain plus a thin layer of mud was quite breathtaking ;-)

Still, it looks like a great track and booking again when it's dry, think there's one May 16th if any one is up for that.
