What is this??

06 S2R 800.. On the left hand side in front of the gear change lever there is a metal cylinder held on by 3 allen bolts...there is a bleed nipple on top of the cylinder; what is this?
I had to take it off to try and fit a carbon front sprocket cover.....and now i am wondering if I have disturbed anything??

Clutch slave cylinder.

Cheers mate...so do I need to do anything such as bleed it, now I have taken it off??

Should be OK, but you'll soon find out if you do need to.

That's what I thought!! and the carbon sprocket cover didn't fit properly!

Don't pull the lever whilst the cylinder is off the bike - put it back in place (might need a bit of a firm push), tighten your bolts and test - if the clutch doesn't move it's a "bleedin job" (literally)

The clutch feels the same as before...so no harm done fortunately...
