I chopped the tail off both my monsters and they look the dogs danglers when done, i first bought a cheap pipe cutter £1. from pound land...the sort you cut copper pipe with and bought a TPO stealth tail chop kit from these guys: http://www.tpoparts.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=105

it arrived 10 days after purchase over Christmas when the P.O was backlogued, everything is included in the kit, it has rubber spacers that have fixed nuts that you put in the open frame tube holes and when tightened up are rock solid, the rubber expands when compressed, (you could pick the weight of your bike up by them once fitted) i stripped her arse down and marked just tail side of the seat lock where the tube is round and spun the pipe cutter on there until it went through,(i had to take off my cans as they are high level) measured up the other side then cut it, fixed the bracket to my plate, popped my light in and screwed it all to the frame holes....well easy, i use a led tail light with built in indicators, if you need to mount your indicators i think they do the brackets for them too, you have to order them seperatly.

keeping your bike in the toilet eh? what did you say to your mrs to let you bring it in the house?

I have enough hassle with the mrs for keeping it in the garage:mand:

Nice neat job - IMHO still looks like a wheelbarrow now though and better looking before.

Sorry but tail chops just don't look right with hi-level cans - the design lines are all mixed up at the rear end of the bike, it just doesn't flow as it should.

Its in my shop toilet.....the misses is banned from there unless she pays me well.
I do agree...it looks better with low level cans but i couldnt stand that long plastic clown shoe at the back....haha.

Could've bought a shorter carbon fibre one instead, less "clown shoe" than the original plastic one - too late now you're stuck with the wheel barrow :chuckle:

I do like high levels, gets them up out of the way. (I do occasionally deck the stock pipes.)
Stubby pipes would do it though, I had always meant to shorten the ones on my IE but never got aroundtuit. As you'll all know an aroundtuit is essential for this kind of job
