View Full Version : How fat does a spacer need to be?

In order to fit high level pipes while using standard footrests, I need to space out the footrest hangers from the frame. Rather than spend hours mucking about with wood and swapping cans and pegs about while swearing a lot, I wondered if anyone had similar and could tell me the width of them.

I'm assuming there isn't a standard ducati part for this.

I'm going to get some spacers made up so just need to give the width.

Thanks

There were as I remember two thicknesses which are approx 8mm and 10mm thick. Please someone double check who has some. They were approx 25-30mm dia with I think either 8 or 10mm clearance hole depending on the bolt. The engine case ones were the 10mm and the others 8mm. Hope it helps.

You could probably get away with one thickness if you wanted though. Dont forget the longer bolts. They did have a longer shoulder.

Can I just check.... that your 10mm spacers will allow high level pipes to go between the footrest hangers and the swingarm, and your pipes aren't the type with a pinch in them....?

Thanks
