My Ducati S4 in Thailand is now 8 years old and can no longer be insured foranything more than basic Government 3rd party only£10 a year so bike is legal...but no fire, theft, bailbond .or accident cover is now available the insurance companies just wont give that level of cover on anything over 7 years old ......stupid aint it.the bikes worth £8000 here even a 7 year old RR cars would be uninsurable and still worth £300,000.

sounds like a great place to live! burn all the >8 year old bikes......... and no insurance pay out. can you not get it insured with a uk company and tell them its in Thailand?

Er no because its a Thai registered bike.and to insure a bike overseas like that would require a Carnet which is the same value as the bike so not viable.

My car goes from fully comp this year to non insurable apart from 3rd party next year as well.

dumb aint it .. OH yeah HDs can be insured fully but only HDs ?????!!!!!!!!
