Hi, just taken my radiator off and am going to put it back on, and wondered if anyone knew the antifreeze-water ratio to put back in?
cheers :spin:

I cant quite remember but I remember its in the Ducati book I gave you. I had a horrible bottle of pink stuff all they had. Do make sure you dont trap any air as the fans will want to play. There is a level on the expansion bottle to look out for.

I just buy bottles of shell coolant and stick it straight in. AFAIK, all coolants are like that now

I usually stick to 50:50 or 60:40 coolant to (de-ionised) water on the car and on previous bikes

i would do a 50;50, that should be ok.
u must get the same type and colour, that came out.
pink a/f will not mix with blue, green or yellow.
blue, green yellow will mix.

i think its empty, radiators on the bench drained, maybe there might be a little bit in the pipe work?

Mixing coolant? Isn't that old school now?

i'm just old fashioned - i'll have a look on the can to see if its pre-mixed?
never thought of that, i thought that screenwash came ready diluted now so it was more expensive?

Make sure its a NON Silicate type m,,the silicate coolant will damage waterpump vane as its plastic ..I use NISSAN coolant non silicant in Thailand 50-50 with de-ionized water.

I tend to use 100% air:chuckle:

this is the reason for having the radiator off, apologies to all those 'air-cooled' owners who will not be able to do this!

Oh we could fit a radiator, we just don't see the point.
Is that a new fire guard? :flamed:
