Nice projects, got me thinking!
Remember in the 70's/80's, when they used to show drawings of concept bikes in Superbike and Bike magazine?
I used to look at some of them and think "no way", then along comes the Katana, etc.
So one could assume that the concept links on this thread could one day be in the showrooms?
It's seems some are already here, with the present day style of trials bikes, they look like boomerangs with wheels on `em!

They have a great occasional one-page feature in PB (Performing Berks) called 'IF...'
where they photoshop a bike they'd like to see in production still but evolved.
eg. 2009 RC30 this month or an RGV600 a few months back.

These concept bikes rarely make it into production for all kinds of reasons. In a lot of cases the designs are impossible to re-produce using production line techniques and materials. Look at the forks on the Audi bike - they are flat in section and very un-substantial. I'm guessing a structural & dynamic load analysis on that chassis would come up with some laughable results.

It's dead easy to design something pretty, when it hasn't got to work in the real world :rolleyes:
