Yo yo yo shame you could not make it Gennaro and Yanski. No worries though. I am sure 2010 will be a good year for rideouts.

We should do Scotland and France once the weather eases up a bit. I heard Ali is planning a good trip so maybe we could join forces!

Later dudes.

Another marathon rideout. Had no idea where we were going, but we were going there fast!

Had a problem with my clutch when we met at Aces, so a detour to Halfords and then up to Paolo's where he did a fantastic job of fixing the problem in no time.

So our initial plans to go to Box Hill had changed, we had been to north west London, south of the river, up to north east and then off somewhere else, another place, some fast A roads, fast B roads, and opened it up on some motorways.

Stopped off for a great pub lunch in a beautiful Henley, then a determined Diego took us to Box Hill, since that was the original plan. Now there's a man that sticks to the plan! LOL

Final stage was back to London on the A3, dark, cold, wet, traffic jams, no petrol....that all sums up to another great rideout!

Look forward to catching up with you guys again. Genny and Yan, need to make sure you guys can make it next time, otherwise you have to pay for our petrol to Scotland and France ;)

I'm cool with that. We can go up and see my people :)

There's some beautiful sandy beaches on the top coastline where the warm sea currents flow past. Would love to take the bike up there.

Right that's enough lets go, if we look at the route up and to where, how long for, accomm/camping/laybys etc and then start another thread for it, i'm sure there will be a few more people wanting to tag along.

I'm sure someone one here has done it before and perhaps could give someideas of roads etc.

Which route to take to Scotland, west coast or east Coast when we get up north? Both have some great roads and beautiful views. My brother lives near Glasgow so I'll ask him about the roads and places up there. Wouldn't mind go to Glencoe, Loch Ness, Ben Nevis, John O'Groats and Sandwood Bay (Britains most beautiful beaches)!

It would be a long trip up and down, two days each way. And four or five days soaking up the Highlands. With a few months to planning, I'm sure it will be a trip to remember!

That sounds great, i was also thinking along the lines of riding a few hours in the morning, then a stop for lunch site seeing relaxing, then another couple hours in the afternoon until we rest for the night. Along those lines was going to try a map out routes, places of interest etc to stop along the way. I brought the BIKE mag the other day and there is a write up about a trip up the east coast, will read and let you know. Also in the RIDE mag there is a write up about Britans Best roads, so will read that also.

Your right it is a big trip and one i and definately up for.

No roads for cars...but bikes could probably make it here!
