ok, so i've ordered yet another m696 (2010 this time) - a white one, and thinking of having a set of covers to give the option of making it different

Torn between blues - has anyone seen them in the flesh ?

JHP have an orange one in, which actually looks ok too, but having that would mean changing the outfit, etc, etc ...

abs model ? how many miles did you end up on on yours ?

presume i've ordered a stock 696+, don't know if i'll be asked about abs on monday, i'll do some research just in case.

precise mileage 16691 - i know that because for the moment i can't ride it: the cast came off on thursday, but i go and sit on it to give me the incentive to get the wrist working properly

Looks much better in your photos than I'd have expected from the colour therapy pictures on the Ducati website. The turquoise is a bit like the old Suzuki Bandit turquoise which I rather liked.

Hope you're able to get out and ride it soon.

Excellent!

Off to Ducati....... unless there are 'alternative' suppliers of panels for 696 ??

For the 1098 rage there are loads.....

I really wanted my 696 in white with a red frame, i tried to order one specially from italy but with no luck through the dealers, anything other than off the shelf seemed to confuse them:fou:. A few months later they brought out the CT!!! i wish i had gone for red now so i could change it.

i do like the matt black and tried to buy a set like the 2010 model is in but you cant buy the panels in a kit like the other CT colours only seperate panels so will cost twice as much? surely thats crazy??? :Furious:

I thought about getting the red bike then ordering a set of white panels cos I imagine that would look pretty good.

finally decided on the white/black combination and got the blue bits as extras - maybe i could have a blue and white patchwork one yuk

How much are these sets going for? I'm quite tempted by the Corse ones :)

I've had four colours over the last three years. My favourite is still the white panels with white wheels and a red frame. There are pictures on here of most of its colour schemes, you will find them at;

Martin my 796 has the Corse body kit. I was originally looking for the silk white kit so might be tempted to pass on if the right set came available. Probably will keep current kit for a while though. Will keep you posted

Got these from Carbonvani in Italy.....not cheap, but good quality....not sure what the Ducati official ones cost...and they do/should fit across the range 696/796/1100/EVO

Mmmmmmm
Magnesium swing arm!
Carbon wheels!
Under seat exhausts!

That site is Ducati porn, it should have an x rating! Me and my bank balance are very happy it doesn't have an M600 section though!

Could see me on something like this one day http://www.radicalducati.com/index.php?page=cafe-racer

why do idiots bid on ebay with days to go ?????
they must realise all they do is put the price up for them ???

wait till the last 15 seconds and you might win

Dirty

<-idiot:dunce:

Various reasons. Sometimes I'll put in a very cheeky bid thinking it'll never win and occasionally I'm surprised. Got a spare seat for £14 couple of months ago like that.

I used to use sniping sites years ago but don't bother anymore. Whether you bid day one or last second the highest bidder wins.
