The expensive option is one of these ..... linky (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lump_hammer)

Cheapo option is a pair of these ... linky (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brick) As you see there are a huge range of options

Is it possible that you mean a restrictor kit so that you can ride this after just passing your test ?

Why?

I thought Ducs had limiters anyway - (9000 rpm) as the natural limit of bouncing valves dosn't apply in our case as there's no springs

yeah... they just keep revving 'til the rods or something else lets go.
Injected models have limiters, don't know about the carbies.

I think there is a rev limit built in to the CDI units. The DP CDI's increase the rev range by 1k IIRC.

If you replace the CDI with something like the Ignitech units then it is programmable.

My 2000 M750 (carb)or my old 750sport won't rev beyond 9000, so i guess the limiters are in the cdi units -

thanks for info . after having hi comp pistons and corse cams fitted and rejetted carbs put mon on dyno she revs to about 11,500 so i think i should limit to 9,500 to save the engine going bang again

My 750 peeks out on the Dyno at 6200 only 62BHP! but it feels ooso good:woot: although i have no rev counter and can out accelerate mates with 150+BHP bikes although they come by me on the straights??but they all like to be behind me as the Duke sounds so so good!!
You just get an ear and a feel for the motor:flamed::woot:
But then again i have been brought up on Brit bikes??:banghead:
