View Full Version : Just 1 week left till my New Zealand trip !

Yep, 11 months after booking my holiday, I'm off to New Zealand and The South Island at the end of next week, where I'll be spending two weeks on a Honda VFR800 touring around with my wife.

I've been down that way before, 4 years ago, but this is the first time we'll be properly touring around and able to see lots more. We're both really looking forward to trying more of the food & wine and, fingers crossed, a good dose of summer weather, while the UK gets darker & colder....

Dead jealous here :grump:

I was in NZ in 2000 for the Americas Cup and took a few days to drive round the North Island, it was awesome !

2 points on the roads :

- Sometimes the tarmac runs out mid corner and gravel takes over , i ended up in a farm entrance totally out of control !
- They dont like speeding......

Other than hat its ace !

Right, well today's the day. We fly tonight and I just can't wait.
Though I only got 3 hours sleep last night after getting to bed at 2am and I'm really worried I've forgotten something in the last minute packing ....
