Thought i better start a topic in here as i am always tinkering with the bike, changing bits etc.

Heres how i got the bike on the first day

http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o80/honda3engines/100_0247-1.jpg

and how it stands at the moment.

Removed the tea tray at the back, removed non-standard fairing, LED rear indicators fitted.
Fitted a k and n crankcase breather filter, has stopped the oil sight glass from getting moyoed up after a ride out.
Along with my favorite thing about the biek RoadRacing cans and Headers. (cheers Yorkie) these sound awsome!!!!

Looking good

Have to agree with giler though - loose the "air brakes". Some nicer mirrors would add the finishing touches. DPM do some very nice ones :woot:

even bar end mirrors will look cooler. I really think they would look better on a hornet. Rest of bike looks great.

i really like bar end mirrors but the only thing is i have the squeeze past my dads landrover when i get out the garage and on the drive, and it wont fit thought with bar-ends. there is only a inch either side of the back between the wall and the landrover.

i was thining of some lower and slimer mirrors..

future plans for the back are the get some parts powdercoated or painted, Rearsets, polish the swing arm, fit a seat cowl as well.

Nice and nice'est off all exhaust what brand is it or road race exhaust is it's brand?

Oh you lost the air brakes in form of mirrors but you still have the one in form of tax disc, ditch it.

yeah there Road Racing exhausts, got them of Yorkie last year, they sound superb!!!

haha yeah, i took the mirrors off as i have got a set of clip on handle bars to fit, i trial fitted the clip ons and just never bothered fitting the old mirrors, just waiting on a spacer to turn up form USA then the clip ons are goin straight on!!!

and as for the tax disc, i keep meaning to move up but always end up forgeting.

Just re-read this and thought you should know that when you say 'polish the swingarm' unless you change it for an alloy arm you're going to get a very rusty arm soon after completion.

Bike looks lovely though.

I refinished a swingarm on a Thundercat I had. Sanded the rust off, base layer and a few layers of silver, then a few layers of laquers (all standard halfords stuff)

Looked quite good, but no idea how it lasted as I sold it a few months later. :mand:

Yeah or a powdercoated finish is good too, so long as the bushes are taken out, etc etc...

Bikes lookin good anyway mate, bet you can't wait to get the clip-ons fitted!

Oily Fingers

yeah i keep thinking how great it will look with the clip ons fitted!!!! cant wait

got a couple of other thigns still on the list to do.

do somthing about the belt covers, re-paint them or get some see through guard type things so you can see the belt wizzing round.

and get a smaller rear hugger, this one looks quite big for some reason (anybody wana do a swap, mine for a smaller one??)
