Hi all,

Have a problem with my left indicators – they’re not working – and nor is the flashing bit on the clock when you flick the indicator switch. The right one is working perfectly fine and need to get bike re-registered with local authorities out here, so hopefully someone can help.

I’ve had the bike checked out by a local garage (annoyingly no Ducati specialists in Dubai) and they seem to think it’s the clocks that need replacing. Apparently they’ve checked the wires, the bulbs, connections, fuses etc and can’t seem to find a problem and have said it must be down to the clocks/speedo thingy at front of bike (hope ya like my terminology!).

Does this sound right???

If anyone has any advice or suggestions it would be much appreciated, as I’m really hoping it’s not the clocks for obvious reasons.

Many thanks in advance, and hope everyone is well!

Jon.

p.s. Have exciting news to share in separate thread.

I would have thought if it was the clocks then both would not work??

...ditto, I'd have thought the circuit board in the clocks only contained a single flasher relay, after all it only has a single idiot light for the indicators. I'd still be looking for a wiring/switch fault if the bulbs are ok, could be wrong though.

Cheers Rob and Pegboy!

I don't think it's the clocks either - am definitely praying to god/allah that it's not!

Bad connection in the L/H switch gear?

Take the switch handlebar switch apart, use a multimeter to check for continuity between the switch & the block connector (headstock area) & continue tracing in this way right back to the lamps.
Chances are it is a bad connection at the switch or at the headstock connector.
