Oh yes apparently Modern Warfare 2 will be cross platform if you use the co-op mode and in general dedicated servers.

Rubbish :) I used to be a PC gamer (was a games reviewer for a magazine for a while) now I enjoy sitting on a comfy sofa with my huge tv and av system instead of at a desk and tapping on a keyboard always getting ready to buy a new upgrade!

Less of a geek these days, but still have two 360s, a Playstation 3 that only gets used as a media player and a Wii that barely gets used at all. Last PC I bought was after I stopped building them myself so splashed out on an Alienware (before Dell bought them).

Looking forward to Forza 3 on Friday!

Well any game I get for PS3 I out on maxium hard and mostl they are just average. Not the same on PC games for some reason. Mainly as no auto aim an stuff.

First person shooters I tend to agree, never the same on a console. I like my strategy games like Civilisation and Total War and they will only work well on the PC...

lol... im such a kid... I still have a mega drive , a Sega game gear (brought mine before it came out over here) it was £200 which back then was lots to me , various Gameboys.. I have a SNES still somewhere. I had another handheld that I used for Pacman..

A gamecube , a Wii and xbox360 , Playstation 1 &2... DS and PSP... I used to be an avid gamer but this year just have not played much...I have a lots of games , but gave a load away.. I used to be pretty good but now can't get in the swing of it :( I was going to get a Playstation 3 .. but have held off .

at the moment I still love playing old Sega games and the one I sit with for ages is megadrive ultimate collection lol... 40 classic games including Alex Kid, comix zone, Golden Axe and my ultimate Streets of Rage!! which if you play 2 player you just end up hitting each other with iron bars and bottles..

At the mo I don't play the Wii as much as I thought to be honest.... I play the xbox if anything.
and thats usually Guitar Zero as I am rubbish... Burnout Paradise, Import Tuner Challenge Ive just started on. and I need to start on Viking battle for Asgard.
But Im still a huge Megadrive games fan.. love em!!.. I always go back to the old games!!
I have nobody to play with now lol!!.. no challenge!..used to play all night and have lots of people round..lol..:)

Oh yeah got a load of old consoles stored away. PS1, PS2, Gamecube, Panasonic Q (The Japanese Philips DVD player and Gamecube combo), Dreamcast and an original NES... think it's because I didn't have anything when I was growing up, so went a bit mad when I started earning for myself!

Also have a quite few handhelds from when my job entailed me flying around the UK and Europe a lot more, GBA, GBA SP, DS, DS Lite and a PSP. PSP really only gets used for Football Manager, and the DSs for puzzle games.

You must try Brutal Legend... great game although short, so worth a rental!

I like my epic games like Fallout 3 and Fable 2, played those for many a hour. Not as in to the Final Fantasy games as some people I know but still played FFX for far too long!

Had a job where I worked 12 hour shifts, sometimes through the night, played A LOT of Counterstrike in those days heheh! Also all the old classics like Doom, Day of the Tentacle, Sam and Max etc...

Went through a MMORPG stage when I first moved to London, starting on the old text based MUDs, then Ultima Online, Jumpgate, Starwars Galaxies (I was one of the first Jedi, THAT'S how much of a geek I was), Eve, City of Heroes and a few others... don't play then anymore as I know I get too drawn in to them, and stop doing normal things like going out and talking to people face to face!!

Only really got in to consoles with the Playstation, and then the Playstation 2, was a huge Sony fan. Only caved and bought a Xbox late on and gradually got in to it more and more. When the 360 hit and the PS3 was such a flop on launch I pretty much became all about the 360. The PS3 gets used to stream video from my PC and the BBC iPlayer and as a blu ray player, not bought a single game on it.

thats a point I want my Neogeo back! ....and I used to spend hours on my 'game and watch's!' and those big handheld things frogger and pacman... used to drive my parents mad..

it certainly led many people into addiction, only a few games
managed to do the same.

massive unreal tournement fan but have been loving mercenarys 2 and as much as i hate to admit it WOW not ready for detox yet though:)

pc was my platform of choice but the last required upgrade to keep playing never happened , got a ps 3 instead,

arguably better at driving games but not quite at good at the stratagy / fps

at least you can still use a keyboard and mouse with UT3 on the ps3

On PC it is C&C - all of them and mainly red alert. Earth 2140,2150 and 2160, starcaft until I discovered it was a game of who clicks faster and then moved to Eartt. Total commander was great. Warcraft for while but got booring. Any WWII as strategy, 3rd person or 1st does not matter. No tour games where I click then other guy clicks, then we go for a coffee and I click ....

I've always been a big 1st or 3rd person shooter fan. Before the X-box arrived I only played PC format, but got tired of constantly having to upgrade to run latest games. I think my favourite pre-xbox must have been the Half Life series. That game was light years ahead of the competition, in terms of both graphics and game play, and it took rival companies a long time to compete.

Since getting an X-box 360 I've played a huge range of titles

The original was one was fantastic, and a real surprise as I didn't know much about it. I just bought it 2nd hand on impulse & it blew me away. The sequel has a lot to live up to. I'm also looking forward to the new COD release - but the £50+ RRP is insane :grump:

Consoles are for kids. Pc gaming rocks. I used to be part of a Online military org flying WW2 planes. Full real Flight simulator, IL2. Was just like the real thing with out leaving the ground. Did that for 5 years but got bored of it after that long. Was pretty impressive though. Imagine 40-50 guys from all over the world all in formation flying bombers with escorting fighters. Was pretty cool. I still go on comms and talk to the guys but i`m into a different game now. I prefer the totalwar series of games and play an excellent stratergy game called Men of war.

Check this video out we made. All planes are different guys from around the world. I was lead bomber.
You had to know your **** for navigation and formation flying etc. It wasnt easy.

I have changed from DTP and graphics jobs where we used to swear at people bringing in PC stuff..
I did this at home In Seagull font (what font??)... what software??? oh it was a free disc of PC weekly!....
I walk into my darkroom and curl up in a ball then hit my head against the wall!

I now work in Education graphics and HAVE to use a PC... sorry 3 at once on my desk this week to get one job done as they are so grrrrrrrr... ugly cluttered and infuriating ... sorry PC week from hell ....

and besides Apples look the dogs!! lol... she ducks and she runs away!!.... lol... :)
