Hi all

before OGL (Our Glourious Leader) delegates this was thinking of a Christmas do for the Hampshire, Wiltshire, anybodyelse that fancies it chapter.

I suggest Sunday 6th December at the Mayfly pub, just up the road from the White Hart in Stockbridge, for a lunch time get together?

I've had Christmas meals there the last couple of years and the food has been good.

So if interested I'll look into it.

Cheers

6th Dec is good for me.
Do you have to book in advance? cos I will be on the bike & it depends on the weather, I don't mind a bit of rain, but ice is a no no

Hi

I've spoken to the pub and yes they will require us to book so I'll need names by 10th November please, they didn't give me a date but think this should be plenty of time.

They serve a selection of Roasts and traditional pub food so something for everyone.

that would be great thanks Stuart, i think a table for 10 should cover it for 12.00 meeting, if any more want to come nearer the time we could just adjust the numbers i'm sure.
I imagine that Grant will upgrade to a definite to make 8, then we could have limited avaliability on seats.....

r be there, FOOD!!!!!!!!!!! lol

Surprisingly enough, I like food as long as it's cooked and put on the table in front of me! Breakfast club last week, I ate 2 sausages, 2 rashers of bacon, 2 hash browns, 2 fried eggs, tomatoes and 2 cups of tea - sorry but couldn't manage any toast!!! And, had a roast dinner at my mum's in the evening! And, cooked a beef stew yesterday - from scratch - with proper beef and vegetables!

Got back safely - it started raining properly about 1/2 mile from home so didn't get properly wet this time.

Bike filthy when I got home so spent a frustrating hour with a combination of SDoc and Autoglym intensive tar remover trying to clean up - I still hate cleaning bikes, especially when it's getting dark!

Thanks to Stuart for organising today. The Mayfly is a nice pub and the food was really good. A summer meet there when we can sit and eat outside in the riverside garden should be planned - I need to return to continue to work my way through the rather splendid dessert menu. (Anywhere that offers treacle sponge and sticky toffee pudding is worthy of our support!)

Many thanks to Chris and Liz for the Christmas cards - Monsters Inc cards most appropriate!
