Due to popular demand, the next Breakfast Meet for the Hants (and a couple from wilts) and anybody else who would like to meet up, enjoy some chit chat have a breakfast and a few mugs of coffee is on the 8th November

At the moment due to weather, it might well be a car/bike meet, main thing is that people come along.

The question is do we meet at the normal place
http://www.thehilltop.co.uk/,

or do would we like to make it to the American diner in Kingsclere
http://www.nelsonsdiner.co.uk/ ?

The choice will be down to popularity, failing that, i will decide

Hope to see you all there and hopfully some more 'newbies' :ukm:

Will try to make it if I can get the day off (suposed to be working)
Will be on the bike weather permiting (not interested in driving the car)
Don't mind where the meet is (as long as the ride is good, which it was)
Just out of interest, if this is going to be a regular monthly meet, do you intend to post the date of the meet every month or are you going to make it say the 1st Sunday in every month?

Hi Phil

it's not a set Sunday in the month we just suggest one and see what the response is.

As last week was only our second we've not really got organised, we just try and accomodate as many as we can.

Cheers
Stuart

It seems to be like ours the second sunday Desmo . I think he intended that reading past threads. Our Kent meet is flexible though and sometimes twice monthlyat times :D:woot:

Ok, that's fine.
I work shifts, so sometimes I may be working for 3 or 4 weekends on the trot, & then I will have 3 or 4 weekends off, so I will make it when I can.

we were going to try the 3rd sunday of the month, but one member has to work shift patterns, so were more relating to that at the moment, we are going to try to meet monthly throughout the winter, and maybe do some rides etc in the brighter weather.

We can only do this if people turn up, i know the 'Kenties' have a very active members meet, but as its new, its more of a see how it goes and see what happens!

The 'Hampshire' region used to be very active (from what i have been told) but it needs members to support the meets, or the organisers will lose interest....

Albie, have you been to Stonehenge recently? It's a good place to avoid! The traffic on the A303 there is awful. You have to park across the road and go through a tunnel under the road to the ticket booth where you have to pay £6.60 per adult to look at the stones as you're not actually allowed to touch them! Oh, and the stones apparently 'open' and 'close' at certain times - now that's a clever trick for an inanimate object! So, I guess the challenge is for someone to get their Ducati into the field, across the grass, avoid the security and manage a photoshoot! Anyone interested?!! ;)

Sounds good - I'd be up for pancakes & maple syrup and Andy reckons steak and eggs for breakfast is the best hangover cure ever.

Weather depending, might be bikes or might be the Scooby (which likes the rain far more than I do). My gloves still hadn't dried out by yesterday morning when I took the Monster to Snells for its first service - took 30 minutes and a mug of hot choc before I'd got any feeling back in my fingertips.

If its a nice day and you want to we can come back to Andover via A343, which is a cracking road too? Then back to Stockbridge.

If you happy with this I'll try a practice run just to make sure.

Hi all

sorry been quiet, week from hell.

Did a dummy run of the ride there and back last week so all being well thats what we'll do.

Still meeting Granite at the garage in Andover?

Then ride down to Stockbridge then onto diner and back home via Newbury.

Won't be on Monster as Winter project has started so will be on SS, come rain or shine.

See you all Sunday, weather looking better.

Good to see everyone today.

Only a couple of spots of rain on the way home, so I call that a result. I was able to retire to a hot bath with a Bike magazine rather than getting cold and wet on the drive washing the bike when I got home.

Not sure Andy or I will need to eat for the foreseeable future - talk about a Monster breakfast!

Good to see everyone today for breakfast, met a few at stockbridge for the ride up to the diner, Stuart the tour guide got us there, lovely big breakfast, met others up there, then had a run out with Stuart and Grant, up to Newbury and down the back roads to Andover, managed just over a 100 miles!!! (in november)
Some new faces today Rollo who travelled the farthest i think! and Dave Matthews who managed to have a free coffee!!!!!!
normal faces of me, stuart, grant, Mrs C & Andy, the fair-weather riders were Chris (oil filter failure) and Stafford and Liz after some heavy rain in the Bath area!

Next meet December for X-mas dinner :mand:

i tried them bolted on the bar rather than bolted on the end, moved the levers etc in a bit, but the throttle side wont fit on the bars all squashed up with about 1/2 " , i wouldnt mind a new top yoke and some renthals, the clutch side there was enough room to do it ok,
